About Anita Patel

Anita was born in the Midwest to young parents who left Great Britain to follow the American Dream.

Anita holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Mass Communication from the University of Florida.

At the University of Florida, Anita helped charter a colony of Delta Phi Omega Sorority, Incorporated, which emphasizes Children’s Education and Literacy as it’s philanthropic purpose. Through the organization, she has been able to spread awareness and raise funds to help eradicate illiteracy in South Asia through the following national beneficiaries: Pratham, Asha for Education, and C.A.R.E.  As an Alumnus, Anita has served on the National Council as the National VP of Expansion.

Anita began her career in the financial services industry as an analyst at Merrill Lynch headquarters.  Currently, she is a transition specialist at a global financial services firm.  In this role, Anita travels to offices throughout the United States to manage the transfer of assets into the firm.

When Anita clocks out of the office, she begins her day.

  • Anita has been a volunteer teacher for Junior Achievement, preparing hundreds of young people to succeed in a global economy by teaching financial literacy, local economics, and free enterprise.  Due to business travel, Anita is unable to participate in JA at this time.
  • Anita is honored to serve as the Director of the New York City Chapter of Nanubhai Education Foundation.
  • Anita is a volunteer at the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in Manhattan where she volunteers at the kids club uplifting siblings of patients.
